I have no interest in having my mouse control the characters movement, and I was wondering if there was any way of disabling this.

Shadow Warrior is a BUILD engine game, so you should have a key defined for mouselook. Press that (I think it is a toggle) and you'll not get player movement with the mouse, it will only look around. I think the default key for toggling mouselook is U.

You can just delete it your config file.Check here:
