There are some similarities but not directly, so you can consider Daikatana as Shadow Warrior equivalent on Q2 engine. Both of them had lots of controversy and black PR but they are infamous for different reasons. Shadow Warrior - because retarded and orthodox people praising political corectness and Daikatana - because press and media totally hating and don't understanding what not only this game but games in general are about. Their biggest sin - they emerged to life in wrong time on wrong place but that not degrade their actual value as games. ;-)

- treating gamers as criminals (DRM stuff)
- treating gamers as sheep crowd (COD and others case)

Might be irrelevent, but Lo Wang's voice actor (John William Galt) voices Kage Mishma (the main bad guy) in Daikatana. Just pointing this out.
