i must overlook something really simple or just read over it but for the life of me i can't figure out how to bind alt-fire key...

Anybody know where to do that?

There is no alt-fire key. You cycle different firing modes for each weapon by pressing the weapon's number key. So pressing 1 would toggle between sword and fists, 3 between single and burst fire for the riot gun, etc.

ah okay i thought there was a alt fire key like in blood.

Actually no. I tried SWP and it is setup to use weapons like the original dosbox version is.

Press a certain weapons slot key multiple times to change its firing mode.

Press "X" in SWP when you have one of the weapons with multiple modes equipped. That was the default alt-fire for me. I actually didn't know you could switch weapons by clicking the same number key, which caused me to do it accidentally and then wonder what happened a few times :)
