Hi guys - I've managed to figure out a more elegant solution for the lack of music in Seven Kingdoms II.

You'll need _inmm.dll which you can have a read about here http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Domino/8282/ (The site is in Japanese, so you'll want to translate first if your Japanese is as poor as mine!)
The installer is available from here http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Domino/8282/_inmm/_inmm238-installer.zip (Right click > save as)

Once you've downloaded the application, simply run through the installer choosing the default installation directory.

Now create a folder in your Seven Kingdoms II directory called 'music' and copy the 12 .mp3 files from the GoG download there.

Now launch '_inmm.dll Setup' and navigate to the the '_inmm.ini' tab. Click on 'Add' and navigate to the newly created 'music' directory and select all of the music files. Once added click on 'Save' and choose the root of your Seven Kingdoms II directory as the location for the '_inmm.dll.ini' file. (This file basically tells _inmm.dll where the music files are)

Now click on the 'Patch' tab and click on 'Show all titles'. Now drag and drop the '7k2.exe' to the right hand window and confirm when asked if you'd like to patch. You should receive a message stating that '7k2' has been patched successfully.

Launch the game, and you should be greeted with the music! It seems to all work correctly in the right order as far as I can tell and even loops after the end track.

All working perfectly on Windows 7 SP1 x86 on my Dell Mini 10v netbook.

Good luck!

Anyone try this? I don't like just going to random URL's without some other confirmation...

Yes, I have confirmed that this patch works...... The musics are back again! You may need to go to this website personally http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Domino/8282/, it's all in Japanese but you can easily find the html shortcut for _inmm.dll Ver. 2.38 not far from top. I manage to download the _inmm.dll from the website this way.......

My computer is a self built desktop with Windows 7 Ultimate....... and my 7k2 runs under windows xp compatibility......hope that helps...
This patch works, indeed, and may be useful for other old games too! Thanks for this!

However, gog seems to have fixed the music bug now, so you may want to redownload the installer to see if it works for you.
