When I start 7k2 for the first time it asks me to enter a name.
When I press a key it enters it multiple times into the text field.
This also happens with the backspace key.
Running on Win7-64bit

Anyone had this? Fixed it?

I have this issue as well, but on Windows XP 32-bit

unfortunately no fix for this yet. I just keep trying until i get the full name. you will only need to do it once

Not that it's a big deal, but it also impacts renaming cities and saved game names.

If someone finds a fix, that would be awesome. As it is now, I can't find a consistent way. I've had it work some days, other days not.

Same problem here. I was hoping that open source project included SK2 but it doesn't. :(

It's fixed in the HD version, the reason it happens is because the game was designed to run on processors so slow that you'd expect to find them in a cheap throw away cell phone now days. You might try turning repeat mode completely off in your keyboard settings if it's possible. I've never had any luck with that tho.
