So I've been playing the game and got a couple of hours in before I had to go to work and when I came back and opened the game again all of my saves are gone and all of the levels are locked again. I looked in the directory for the game and all my saves are there but the game just doesn't recognize them at all

EDIT: I found out why it was doing this. I was originally playing the game while signed into my GOG account and all of my saves only work while signed into my account. When I rebooted I wasn't signed in so I couldn't access any saves except for any saves I made while not signed in, basically treating my local profile as a separate account. Basically if your saves are missing to, try signing in or out of GOG galaxy and see if that works

Ugh that's stupid.

Twice this has happened to me now which is why I've come to the forum to try to figure out why SS4 has nuked my saves AGAIN, I don't think I can face replaying through again.

I'll try your GoG login thing but really I don't want to have to login each time, normally I just won't login to Gog.

Good job figuring out the "profile" part, I logged back out of GOG Galaxy and my save games reappeared.

Yup. Had that happen to me too and came to the same conclusion. I instaled from offline installers and when I updated through Galaxy, it created a new profile in the UserData folder and the game took saves from the new one, which was empty.

I tried copying the saves from the original profile to the new one, but they couldn't be loaded anyway. Basically, don't let Galaxy touch the game if you installed from offline installers.
