hi all,

I have two steelseries 3GC controllers hooked up to my win7 box. Both show up just fine in "devices and printers."

Is there a trick to getting them to work with both Serious Sam games? Or do I have to assign every single button and pad on the controllers?

Thanks,
Rpb

Serious Sam was made in 2001. While USB had become a standard by that point, Twin Sticks had not. (At least on the PC market.) You can bind the controls, but the analogue sticks cannot be bound in Serious Sam 1. And Serious Sam wasn't really designed for a controller. It was however, designed for a big chunky joystick like my X3D.

Second Encounter was only made a year later, so I expect nothing to have changed on that matter.

Isn't this a standard procedure?

I am asking seriously, I totally confused by people speaking of joystick nowadays. Isn't a controller just a set of axis and buttons? You have to set up as you want/need it...

If you have an Xbox 360 pad, here is a helpful site http://serioussam.com/wiki/index.php?title=SS_Classic_Gamepads
