Hi there, after going in the options and turning on V-sync the setting just doesn't seem to stick. I tried forcing it and it doesn't want to work any ideas?

if it doesn't work in-game then enable it in your graphics card's control panel. There it should be per application-based so you won't have to disable it for every other game when you play them.

Rrunning the game as the user "Administrator" (right click -> run as...) might help. Maybe your user is not allowed to change a certain configuration file.
