Hello guys!

I´m trying ot get the MegaPatch to work, but there is a problem.
I have tried it 5 times now, de- and reinstalling the whole game and the patch with compatibilty and admin rights during, after and while running. Just like told on the linked page.

I can install the patch in the games directory and run it. But if i launch the game via the patch it crashes with:
"Run-time error ´5´: Invalid procedure call or argument".

Win 7 64 bit - and the game launched via it´s .exe runs fine.

Some buddy got an idea, a suggestion or maybe even a solution?

Have you tried WinXP (SP2 & 3) compatibility mode plus administrator mode for SensiStarter.exe? It might also help if you put the MegaPatch installer into compatibility mode plus administrator mode before installing. I installed it on Win7 and 8 without any problems. It works happily.

Reinstalled again under Win 8.1 64bit - installs and works like a charm - even without any compatibility settings - check if you really have DirectX9 installed correctly (try the MS DirectX Webinstaller - that really installs everything - other, in particular older versions do not (!!!)) - otherwise install Sensi 2006 plus Megapatch on another computer and quite simply copy it to your computer and see if it works now - otherwise see if your graphics and sound drivers are reasonably up-to-date. For instance, I am running it with an Nvidia GTX570 and the PCI Express version of the SoundBlaster X-Fi.

Hi! I was having the same issue- and then I uninstalled the game and re-installed it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Codemasters\Sensible Soccer 2006

rather than the GOG folder.

Next, I ran the Megapatch and Sensi Starter as Admin and in SP2 compatibility mode-

The patch now runs properly.

install the game as normal, then move the mod files to the installatio ndirectory and, you need to click on the sensi starter exe file in the installation directory and it sohuld start. sorry for the necro, this is what i did and it works fine for me
