There is a lot of stuff in here about SWOS Mods (talking of the 96-97 version) but no one seems really ecstatic about any of them. Are they just something to do to change it up a little or are there some out there that really make the game way better?

Google sensible world of soccer total pack and download that. It has almost every major mod apparently and tons of new databases, pitch gfx, and commentary. I got it today and have been playing it a ton.

Do you know if that will work with the Mac version ??

The installer and menu stuff is Windows only which means you would need an unpacked installed version and then copy the files to your Mac version "on foot". You're bound to find someone with a PC or you might even try to install Win as well on your Mac. Will probably involve a certain amount of fiddling but it should work...
