Marcus is the survivor of a pirate attack that sits in the tavern on Tendales.
After I speak with him I try to leave the tavern and find myself stuck. There's a "loading" message in the upper left corner and nothing is happening.
If I don't speak with Marcus I can leave the tavern and no bug occurs.
Anyone know how to fix this problem?

compatibility mode for Win 98 / ME has helped

This happends to me too, but changeing ti win98/ME does not help. Any better ideas?

Wow, changing to Vista compatibility worked out for me! And futhermore, the game does not crash as often as feared after the trick!
