Was considering this as a Father’s Day purchase.
However, I do not want a game with pop up ads, after purchase.

I have read some of the post above, and was just curious going forward if there were any more updates?


Also, is it possible to play this game “hot seat” style?

I have several young wargamers in the house and this could be a cost effective way to play the board game together.

The popups are still present. There haven't been any further updates since they were introduced.
Hot seat play is supported.
Notice that Scythe isn't really a wargame, more "economic efficiency with a bit of combat".
