So I just made it through the tutorial and one of the first things you have to do is bribe a researcher so you can research a weapon. I found the guy but when I bribe him I just get a little icon over his head that looks like a crossed out plus sign. I'm new to this genre and am confused.

the problem is you bribe a research but not the research if asking you in the mision.
You can see the name of the person and see if the correct person.
