Hi,

Would it be impertinent to ask that your installer version numbers follow the 'official' version numbers for Satellite Reign instead of your own system. That way any confusion might be avoided.

Anyway, I am grateful for your efforts and I do not understand why people ask for Steam redeeming codes instead (one platform to bind them all...) - this does not refer to Satellite Reign but is a general statement (have read too many posts on various sites where people were begging for Steam codes instead and I could not help laughing my head off).

Apart from that I am a bit of an old school gamer, which means that I do not need the likes of Steam to tell me what I have 'achieved'.

Cheers

Welcome to the gog.com forums :)

Sadly, the patches delivered by GOG.com possess their own numbering system apparently independent of any other reference. However, there is a change log accessible from your game shelf.

Actually, I was a bit of an idiot ;-). The game clearly indicates the version when starting. Nice game by the way. If only I had enough time to play it properly...

By the way, it would be nice if there were a 3D patch for Syndicate Wars as well. Alright, I never really liked it anywhere as much as the original (particularly these bloody spider thingies... - I must have tried everything to get rid of them - even timed explosives - but I never managed to get them right... nature's way of telling you that you're a tosser ;-)) but the (still) current state is a bit unfortunate, When it came out it was just about playable on a P133 with a fast VESA graphics card. DOSBox still does not like Syndicate Wars in SVGA mode. That is why I would be grateful if Mike Diskett were to find a little extra time to caugh up a cross-plattform OpenGL port ;-).

Anyway, enough waffling.

Cheers
Patrick

P.S.: Look like I have to reiterate the idiot thing. I had unfortunately managed to completely overlook the change log stuff.

Somehow I doubt "little extra time" would be enough, just saying. ;-p That is assuming source code even exists in readable and compilable form somewhere. :-/
