When I first installed Sanitarium, it defaulted to the wrong location. All my other GoG installs are in the C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\ directory. Sanitarium created new directory that it is the only game in, C:\Program Files\GOG.com\. Obviously that's stupid. So I uninstalled and tried to reinstall in the right place, and it won't do it, giving the error message about directory names with symbols in them being invalid. How do you fix this to get it installed in the proper location?
Had the same problem, not a big deal, but it sure isn't nice... hope they fix this small bug

Have you tried selecting your directory with the directory tree? As an aside, I'd recommend installing outside of Program Files to avoid UAC funniness.
Yes, I've tried with the directory tree. I could however change the path to another drive, from C:\Program Files to D:\Program Files. The problem was when I tried to install it to Program Files (x86), and, after trying some path names, I found that the problem here are the numbers and the "(" and ")" characters. If you try installing to C:\Program Files 86, it shows an error "Folder name cannot include any digits" and when you try C:\Program Files () or C:\Program Files (x86) it shows "Folder name cannot include any of the following characters: / : * ( ) ? " < > |"

Hope GOG can solve this small issue, very simple I think.

Sanitarium cannot be installed in a directory with numbers or special signs in the name due to the way the game was programmed.
