cannot get past the initial VCR play back when my character finds out about his car theft and his face. get sntrm.exe has stopped working error. This happened when I ran the shortcut made by gog which is configured to run "as administrator" but when I tried and run it within the folder under the strm.exe I get bad graphic glitches and also the crash none-the-less. happened regardless. have also tried saving the game many times before going into the control tower as suggested by other users same results, stop working error regardless.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate SP 1 fully updated
Geforce Nvidia GTX 780 Ti with driver 353.30
all pertaining software updated also through Geforce Experience PhysX drivers to 9.10.0513
Creative SB ZxR with latest WHQL signed drivers, 6.00.0102.0032 I have run this both in standard analogue mode using 3.5 mm jacks with 2.0 stereo analogue speakers, and in "cinematic dolby, as well as DTS using optical cable. hooked to my Blu-ray speaker system none-the-less, same error.

yes I played for about two hours with no crashing. thanks! it was the visual themes and compositions I guess most games made between 1998 -2004 require it to be disabled.

Hi, I get similar problem.
Will start up ok an can play for 10-20 mins the I get this error an can't start game again

Don't even know if I'm allowed to bump this old thread, but the solution here doesn't work for me.
It seems I've two options:

1) Follow the suggestion HERE (https://www.gog.com/forum/sanitarium/inconsistent_flickers_throughout) which removes the flicker. It looks perfect and plays perfectly, HOWEVER, the game still crashes at cutscenes.

OR

2) Follow the suggestions here and the game flickers, but I can get past the cutscenes.

Is anybody aware of a solution to BOTH the flicker and the crashing-after-cutscenes? The above don't appear to work in tandem.
