Snowman59: I'm about to give up, this game is unplayable in these conditions :-/

I did almost everything : changing the name of the shortcut to sntrm.exe, running in Windows 98 compatibility mode, leave the "change resolution screen" open so that I avoid the color glitch...and it still crashes.

Sometimes it's "automatically" fixed (I guess) by relaunching the game, sometimes not.

In my case, I'm stuck in the chapter 3 with the fountain puzzle, I solve it and...return to Windows (7 by the way).
please, somebody help me, i am having this very same issue with the fountain puzzle!

I've had some crashing but was no problem when I went back into the game until I got to The Lost Village. Can't seem to proceed here. I'm using GOG Galaxy with admin on Windows 7. I hope I don't have to abandon the game here.

due to crashing, the Lost Village was the point from which I could never manage to proceed either - no matter which Windows version I used.
Hope they'll fix it one day and make it playable - it's not nice to have to restart over and over
