I have played the GOG version of Sanitarium on earlier occasions and it has worked fine but today when I load the game I find that all the animations are very fast and jerky like the game is running on fast forward. Conversation speeds are normal, although text sometimes disappears before the lines are fully spoken.
I replaced the monitor today as my previous one died out (replacement is also a CRT). Could that be a problem? All other hardware is as before:
Intel 915GAV board
NVidia 8500GT 256MB
Windows XP Home

Don't recall the previous refresh rate but I dropped the current refresh rate from 72hz to 70hz and it works fine. Thanks for that idea.
