Greetings

I remember playing the french version long ago when it was released initially (so, basically, 2 decades ago)
At that time, the french localisation had quite some issues, from minor cosmetic (translated texts overlapping outside UI boxes and such) up to a major puzzle gamebreaking bug because of the localisation.

BEWARE, Some spoilers below

Dont remember exactly where, but there was an area in the game where you would be in some sort of science lab with a blackboard on which a long text of several lines/sentences was written down with chalk.

It was the text for a riddle/puzzle in game that would lead you to get some secret password/answer. Basically, the solution was that each first capital letter of the sentences would be clickable and thus, gives you a password for a fortified door.
Of course, translated text may had kept the same capital letters (not sure password wasnt translated too, it's not even the point) BUT as translated text would be of different size for sentences, the capital first letters needed would be on different spots of the blackboard... BUT the clickable spots to validate the answer for the puzzle REMAINED the spots for the previous location of english version of the text.

What you basically had to do would be bother 1) find the english text of the riddle and sort of approximatively guess where former capital letters roughly were or 2) scan the entire blackboard picture in the game slowly with your mouse cursor and click on the sensitive spots

it was one of the last straw for me at that time, when french localizations for games were very bad on that regard (i remember some wrongly translated riddles and answers for baldur gate's 2) and that is what led me to simply refuse using french localized games anymore in my own country

This puzzle was simple, but the localization made it just nonsensical, tedious and it was, for me, a gamebreaking bug of sort.

Did THIS kind of bug get addressed by GOG ? (is it even only possible for gog team to work through game's build they were provided by publisher/dev so they would fix such an old localization bug that was there since game release yet never patched out at the time ?)

Wanted to recommend this game to an english-phobic/impaired friend of mine because i kept talking about it with praises (because game was a great one) but if such thing remains in GOG version then it is unwise to gift it to my friend...
