Hi!
I use a Asus N55S laptop, which has the Optimus technology, that switches between a Nvidia GeForce GT 555M and the Intel Integrated Gfx card.
Trying to run the game will make the screen flicker as if refreshing at a slower rate or something. This is not the "rainbow" graphical problem already documented, but a continuous screen blinking, like once a second. Each blink leaves a "mark" of the previous screen, making graphics a complete mess, particularly in the main screen, where all the options are found.
The solution I found was to force 256 colors and 640x480 resolution under the compatibility settings for sntrm.exe, force the usage of the Intel Integrated Gfx card on the Nvidia control panel for sntrm.exe and then run it directly WITHOUT GOGLauncher.
Doing all these ensured that the game starts everytime normally.
I hope this helps!
