Hey guys, I joined GOG just to ask you guys for help. I searched far and low, asked my techy friends, and Im SOL.
Got the game, installed, had the minor color problems but got it to work with the tricks I found around the net. Then I stumbled apon a problem where it wont allow me to enter buildings and cross the bridge again in chapter 2. I then found out about the patch. I downloaded the patch and Im assuming I need to start a new game for the patch to work? Or do I need to reinstall? Nothing is really clear to me...
My main question is this...My comp is at resolution 1280x800 and I thought I was seeing everything on screen but I looked on a picture of someone elses game and heres the situation.
When you need to throw a rock at the church bell you stand in front of the church and throw it. My problem is when I stand in the spot I saw on the pictorial strategy I can not see the bell. His screen shows everything but mine cuts off..... I wont be able to solve this puzzle because I cant see the church bell from where im standing... I tried everything and Im screwed so I came here for some help on the matter.

First gogs version of this game should be the latest version. Next I'm going to need some information about your computer to try to help you out.
What OS are you running? What graphics card and monitor do you have? and is the monitor hooked to your pc with a dvi cable?

I apologize. Here I was needing this help ASAP and then I ditch the computer for this week. Im here now. And thanks for helping me out.
Im actually a noob when it comes to things like this but I will try my best.
My OS is Windows Vista. Its a HP Pavilion dv4 laptop.
Intel core 2 duo CPU T5800 @ 2.00GHz
Memory ram : 4.00GB
64 Bit operating system...
I do not have a ruler so I do not know the size of the monitor. I checked my display adapter and it says mobile intel 4 series express chipset family...
I hope this helps... I uninstalled the game compeltly... I bought the game at a store. I have all three cds

Its probably the widescreen monitor cutting the top off this game because its not a game that natively supports widescreen. I'm not sure how to scale it with an intel chipset or if its even possible. Also messing about with the dxwnd config had no effect on the screen settings. I'm not sure how gog set it up but I'm not able to access that programs panel to change settings manually.
You may want to contact gog support with your problem if you haven't done so already.

I really appreciate you taking the time to offer assistance. I am going to try and just play this on another computer and see what happens. One day I will get through this game, just a matter of when. Thank you
