For security best practice, I use a Windows user account with "Standard" rights (i. e. without Admin Privileges) as my work and gaming account (which hasn't been a problem - at least since the last couple of years or - said in another way - since the introduction of Vista/Win7 and its security model).
Sang-Froid unfortunately does not run properly without Admin Priviliges, as one gets a "Disk Access Error" directly after the intro video in such an environment.
The accompanying description says it all: "We do not have permission to write to a specific place on the disk or files are missing. Try to uninstall or reinstall the program." I. e. the program tries to write to a protected folder.
Please fix this. Video games and similiar kinds of applications certainly don't need admin privileges when running (they need them for the initial installation, though). Everything else is just sloppy programming which can be fixed easily.
Thanks in advance.
PS: Of course I am aware that I can run the program with Admin Privileges. But that is not the point - that would be just a workaround. Users should never have to sacrifice their complete system's security for the sake of being able to play an incorrectly coded game.
