Hi,

Came across a glitch in Episode 1 - Culture Shock

Don't want to give away any spoilers so intentionally vague:
After completing "the dream" sequence, you may find Sybil's office empty. However you do need her and the glitch is that she's invisible. However, if you hover near the closet (near the handle in my case), you'll see her name. Clicking there will make her reappear at her desk and the game can carry on.

Hope that helps someone who was stuck as I was.

Cheers,

Syntax

Working like a charm - just had the same dilemma.

Thank you.
This happened to me, also. This is my message to GOG support 8/27/2015:

"GOG is great, but... It seems unkind that GOG does not warn users about the known missing Sybil issue in Sam & Max Episode 1 - Culture Shock. Why not have a prominent ReadMe link explaining known play issues along with the installed game links? How many hours were wasted clicking and combining everything, trying to tough it out without cheating? How is one to know that they need to read the posts to complete the game? Telling users where to find the invisible Sybil hotspot would not be a spoiler, but a time-saving kindness."

Was I fair to them?

Was going nuts. Ty (she was a little to the right of the knob for me)
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but ... Great tip, thanks a bunch!
Yea, had this same problem! Thanks!

Mods you may want to sticky this.
Synt_x,
A huge "thank you" comes to your 2015 post from 2020! I thought I have to start all over again!

5 years later I'm replaying this game with my kid and we ran into that bug. First hit on Google was your post which solved our issue, thank you so much :-)
Thx - that's it!
Was going nuts. I know it was 6 years ago but thanks a million. Exhausted every item on item. Bad form, Telltale. You used to be my hero, Schafer!

THANK YOU. SYNTAX!

Omg, GOG, get yer s**t together and let people know about this! Absolutely ridiculous that we spend this kind of money and you don't let your buyers know! Shame on you!
