I have not watched the stream itself but has Volition said anything about the new SR2 update coming to GoG or will it be Steam exclusive?

They've only mentioned Steam.

Not only did they just mention it, it was specifically asked to which stores on PC it was coming and they answered Steam, to which was asked 'Just Steam?' and they answered 'Yes'

So while it may come to GOG in the future, it likely won't be when it is released.
They are integrating Steamworks support for the Steam version, so those features will definitely not be headed for the GOG version.
Good thing something made me add the game to my Steam account while it was given away there en masse though I would much prefer the patch coming here especially since I have the GOG version installed too.
I have the original version of this game on both platforms and I'd personally prefer the updated version on both, as well.

GOG Is a worthwhile platform to have games on and to buy games from, so hope they reconsider sooner than later. Even if it lacks online functionality (would rather it not be that way, however), at least having a functioning LAN feature would make it worthwhile enough in the event online services on the whole for the game die out.

Whilst I can understand putting features like Steamworks integration (for multiplayer modes) into the Steam version only, when it comes to fixes these should be put into all available versions regardless of store. The customers on those stores still purchased the game and should therefore receive any fixes that are released. At the moment this just feels like another case of GOG customers being treated unfairly in comparison to Steam customers. I seriously hope that GOG staff are talking to Volition about this.

I can understand the fact that this is done by a total of 2 people in their spare time (IdolNinja - Gentlemen of the Row author and current Volition community manager, and Minimaul - SaintsRowMods.com administrator), but going Steamworks first can't be helpful for any future GOG release.
Sometimes I feel like some developers do not see themselves as developers for their game and studio first; but for Steam/Valve first. Success on other platforms for their (not Valves!) game be damned.

i doubt this game will get fixed people say you can get gentlemen of the row which is a 3rd party mod which is supposed to fix the game, when the devs cant be arsed, seems like game devs in the last 15 years have got lazy and just want cash for as little work and effort as possible, GOG users are spat on by devs pretty much, if you want a decent saints row game without bugs just get saints row 3
