So, I just downloaded SR2 and I'm playing the prison breakout. I'm trying to follow that one guy onto the top of the pipes but I can't. For some reason, I can jump, but my guy just will NOT climb up onto. Am I missing something? Is there something else I'm supposed to do? Do I just need to restart and try again? The tip just says "Press spacebar to jump/climb" and again, he jumps just fine, but doesn't climb.

Also, is there any reason why SR3 ran just fine on my computer, but this is all hurky jerky? Seems like being an older game, this should run waaay smoother than it does.

Generally, missions can at times bug out. If you're really close to the pipes and can't climb them, try restarting the mission. You can also try installing Gentlemen of the Row, which among else fixes mission scripts. The Xbox 360-to-PC port was done by CD Projekt (not CDP Red), and Volition never bothered to patch the game.
