In Saints Row 2 I had no trouble finding the Saints gang customization options - by that I mean the options to choose what cars your fellow Saints rode around in, etc - but on Saints Row 3 I can't find it at all. Despite that a pop-up window constantly (along with many others constantly popping up) appears telling me I can do it, but not how!

Not that it prevents getting on with the game, but it is a minor niggle. Anyone know where these options are?

Thanks!

PS/ How can you stop the unecessary repeating pop-ups I mentioned earlier?

I wish I had the exact answer for you, but I know in SR4 you need to progress in the story to be able to access Gang Customization. Perhaps it's the same in SR3? How far are you in the storyline?

Not very far at the moment. Says 12% in the stats.
Hmm ok. Well I'm pretty sure I remember being able to customize the gang eventually, so my guess (and I'm sorry I can't give you a more conclusive answer) is that you either need to progress further in the story, purchase the ability (I think SR3 had purchaseable abilities, but forgive me if I'm mis-remembering), or both.

Hopefully someone else can come through and give you more accurate info; if not, my best advice is to keep trucking forward. I wouldn't start worrying until you're like 30-40% through and still not seeing it. Good luck!

Yes, it does indeed unlock as you complete game plot missions.
Oh, you got it? Great. I felt bad I couldn't give you a clearer answer. Enjoy the game!
