i really want to play this game again ... but it just doesnt stop to crash -.-

is there hope that there will be a new "magical" patch so that this game will run smooth on modern machines again without fiddling around +1k workarounds that wont help ?

No, 99,9% it's not gonna get updated. Scapex editor is crap (for extended modding) and I don't even know if the developers still work in the game industry.
As for crashes - if you've got 2 graphic cards (1 integrated - for example Intel HD - and 1 for "gaming" like geforce or radeon) run the game with the integrated GPU. For example i can't play it with my geforce755m no matter what I do, but after switching to intelHD it works without any flaws. If you have just one card I'm sorry, but I can't help you.
