Well heres the skinny, so theres be i, sailing the might seas of the internet, when by a salty dogs tail i catch the V1c patch for sacrifice with the intent to engage me hearty in a fierce online sea battle of the souls.
ok enough of that....
anyway, we got patched and everything (i got it done one day ahead of time) and on the day that i patched, i could connect to the server just fine. the day of the event, my mate and i tried to connect, but this time the connection failed. I since have tried a few times to connect to the internet lobby, but with the same results (diff days diff times etc).
anywho, just the question here, anyone else having problems connecting? or am i just stuck in limbo here. also, tried uninstalling teh patch to see if it was just the community server(or whatever it is) was down, and the old gamespy would be there. but still, no, no connection. and it worked fine just a day before.
and if it is just me, any clue what it might be?

Well, first you want to narrow down the problem.
1) Can you connect to the net with any other programs? If the answer is, "No," then your problem is with your connection, not your game.
2) Can you host other games aside from Sacrifice? If the answer is, "No," then your problem is probably some piece of software or hardware restricting your access.
3) Can your friend access the same server you're trying to get to online? If the answer is "Yes, he can, but I cannot," then the problem is with your setup. You just have to figure out why your software isn't doing what it needs to in order to get online.
Start with the above and let us know what you find out.

When I change my CD key with the one provided by the GOG support team I am unable to connect...? With the preloaded key I even managed to play a few games. Btw I have instlled the latest patch ("regular").
