Should we form a GOG guild for Sacred Gold? I believe the online servers are world-wide, so we could have people from across the globe playing together.
Just a thought, not sure how much interest this game will generate yet, but it's something we as a community could easily do.
I'll also be getting Sacred 2 as well, in case any of you will be picking that up or have it already.

I'd join in for sure. Sacred multiplayer has been a bit quiet as of late unless you have really high levels or simply want to grind.

I would imagine a lot of people are playing Sacred 2 these days, eh?
I would still be interested in doing this, maybe setting up one day a week where we get everyone together on one set of toons, while having the freedom to lvl the rest of our toons as we see fit?
The possibilities are endless, just one idea.
I'm game..well once I buy it :D
edit: well I downloaded the demo and I must say that I enjoyed myself. I noticed this game is for sale at other outlets, but i'll wait and purchase it through GOG. Hopefully it'll be up next week.

Yeah I saw it for sale on Direct2Drive for 20 bucks and thought I might as well wait and save myself 10 dollars ^_^
It's about $10 all around the place, I got it via post from some online store a year or two ago for about that.
Most (local) retail outlets (that I've come across) either have the gold edition for $10, or both the original and underworld $40. Each...
Steam also has it for $10, as does a few other digital-distribution sites.
Sacred two is getting there from what I've heard. Plenty of problems with their activation system (which is weird on the limits and activation side) and their lobby system. Quite a bit has been fixed, but as with the first game, it's best to wait a while.
My PC can't run it anyway, so until I can afford an upgrade, I'll stick with the first one.
From what I played of the demo, I wish that i had heard of this game sooner. It really is pretty cool and has that diablo 2 feel (From what I can tell anyway.) I can't wait to try out all the classes.

I'd love to join in on the weekly multiplayer. I played this for a bit way after it hit its heyday...didn't get very far into it due to overdose of D2 and other hack/slashes.
I did enjoy it except for the sheer ungodly swarms of bad guys...I pick up and examine every drop (I can't help myself!) so it got tedious after awhile to say the least. With more people involved this could be more manageable.
No worries, the more the merrier. I'm commited to playing Sacred 2 with some friends at least one day a week, so I'll be splitting my time between several games, but I think it's still manageable to say we can schedule one day at least for Sacred Gold for everyone here that wants to.
I figure if we dole out the loot to the most appropriate characters that can use/need it then that should simmer down a lot of the "loot headache" that I have experienced in games like D2.
I got the game on steam some months ago, haven't really gotten too deep into it yet. Never played any Multiplayer either, is it a pain to set up?

I'm not sure how MP will work with GOG's version and Steam's version. In the original version you had to verify your cd code to play MP.
Multiplayer is around in the form of the Asceron servers running the game on various difficulties.
You'll need the CD-key, which should be available as a txt file with the game if it is anything like other digital-download versions.
Select a room, hit connect and it's pretty much done.
The hard part is trying to have co-op multiplayer based on your own machine. Which involves fiddling around with your router. And if you have more than one device modem, router or managed device it must pass before it leaves your house, prepare to loose some hair.
