I cannot for the life of me get my level 51 mage to load up into another game of Sacred Gold, or into Underworld.
I can call up the export screen from the main menu but that doesn't seem to do anything, doesn't seem to "put" my character where it needs to be to import into a new game.
When I try to import my character into Underworld, I am not able to. The character just won't appear.
I also cannot find my saved games anywhere on this Vista machine. I can find my Sacred 2 saves (all three of them) but there is no Sacred or Sacred GOld folder anywhere that I can see. Any clues for me? I've tried the normal places one would look on Vista, in Users/Username/documents. That's where I found the Sacred 2 folder. But no Sacred 1. They have to be somewhere -- there are over a hundred of them!

When you click on the "export" menu item, what happens? You're supposed to get a screen with "slots" (some sort of elevations) and you have to put your character on one of those.
As for the saves, have you checked the game folder itself (where you've installed Sacred Gold)? There should be a "Save" folder in there, containing your save files.

Have a look in username/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files/...
Installing games outside of Program Files avoids this problem.
Savegame files have a .PAK extension, so use whichever search tool you feel comfortable with and you should find the save games.
^Indeed, and their filenames are in "game[xx].pak" format, for example, game00.pak, so you can search for them like this.
Anyway, I'd check the game folder and Virtual Stores first, and then set about searching for them.
Thanks for the replies.
I have checked in the Virtual Store as described above, and there is no game folder for Sacred. I have my computer set to show hidden files and extensions, so that isn't it, either.
I kept trying the export function and it finally worked. Not sure what that was all about.

Have you also checked you installation folder? I suspect Sacred Gold stores saves there.
