Me and a friend want to play Sacred Gold Coop, but we can´t get it to work, and no one has written any guide or anything, so we tried to play around with VPN and hamachi, but hasn´t got it to work. Please Help us;O!
Just have one person start a LAN game, and the other person should be able to see the server and join. I do recall that you have to allow Sacred as an exception for the firewall settings.
The problem is, we aren´t on Real LAN, and even with Hamachi and all, we can´t find each other.

Do you have to change any of the .cfg files?
Okay, we got it working ,he can see me when i create, but he can´t connect.

And if he creates, i can´t see it.

Any ideas?

We have tried disabling Router and Windows firewall;S
I found the information below on a different forum. There's no guarantee that it will work, but it's deifinitely worth trying.
1st: go to your firewall settings
2nd: under the exceptions click the 'Add port'
3rd: copy this phrase C:\Program Files\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred\Sacred.exe to the 'Name'
4th: as for the port number put 2006 and then select ok
5th: then when done u go back to the new port that u created and select 'Edit'
6th: select the 'Change Scope' and go select the custom list type in you and your whichever frens that u wan to play with them on lan ip address on it and den select ok!.. 7th: aft all those steps plz run ur dedicated gameserver in ur sacred folder and put the TCP port to 2006 and select lan game and select the IP which is the same and shown on ur HAMACHI network on the TOP, the IP is big and can be seen when u connect ur hamachi (plz refer below on how to download hamachi)

If the above does not work, try referring to this post: http://forum.sacred2.com/showthread.php?t=46093

Yes I realize I'm necro'ing the post.

1. Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center and click Change adapter settings from left sidebar.
2. Click Hamachi network connection with mouse right click and select Properties.
3. Uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6). Select Internet Protocol Version 4 and hit Properties.
4. Click Advanced, Be sure that Automatic Metric is unchecked, and put number 1 to Interface metric, save settings.
5.Reboot, LAN games should now work properly.

The issue lies in the game not using hamachi for LAN because even though it's running, the game doesn't see it as the default connection (which the above fixes).

I'll have to try the tips to play Sacred Gold in a cooperative. Because I've already tried several options, it didn't work for some reason. I hope it will work now.
