If I want to download Sacred 2 from GOG, I can choose the language on the download page, but I have the bad feeling that this has no effect on the files to be downloaded. I don't want to download another 13.6 gigabytes to see that it is the English version. So, can anyone tell me that if I go to Language in German, that I will also get the German version of the game?

PS.: The language selection in the installer itself only refers to the installer, not the game, as far as I have noticed. And Googletranslate has an irish accent^^

I dont use GOG Galaxy.

I don't own the game but, according to the store webpage, the game features German localization of both audio and text and, according to GOG Database, the installers are different.
Weren't the developers (Ascaron) German? So the German version of the game is the base one, and the English version a localization. Which accounts for scare-noticeable imperfections in some dialog, quest log and lore book texts in Sacred 1 (the only one I've played).
The GoG version does not include german audio, sadly. But you can easily download a german language pack and even play it in HD 1080p, when following these instructions:

Edit: This is for Sacred 1.
