First off, let me state that I DO own a DRM free copy of Sacred 2 Gold, but not the one sold by GOG. I own the Gamersgate version.

To get S2 Gold to work with Win 10, go to compatibility settings, set it to run in compatibility mode for Vista SP 2, and run as admin. If that fails, run the compatibility troubleshooter and let it pick its own settings, test it and it should work, and save the settings.

So far I'm really impressed with Win 10. This is just a Public Service Announcement if you're considering trying the tech preview.

Thought I'd chime in and say that in my Win10TP install, build 9879, S2G (Gog) with the Community mods & sound track mods, is running perfectly with no compatibility options set, and I even turned off admin mode to check it--no problems, there, either. Like you, I'm very impressed with Win10 so far...it's great to have an official start menu back, and I am liking the new stuff a lot. Go figure...before I bought Win8/8.1 I never knew how much I actually made use of the Windows start menu--didn't think I'd use it much if at all in Win8...Lol...;) Wound up using Classic Shell's start menu prior to the Win10TP. They say that often humans don't fully appreciate the things they have until they are lost...and I guess this proves it in my case...;)
