Well found a tutorial on how to change the XP growth in the game. And found it's buggy as hell.

So say you modify the server's MP_experience? Hope you like dying.

Two problems with this. First the game doesn't have leveled areas, rather everything spawns at some average about the players levels in the area/world. This means if you are level 50, the beginning area will have ~50 level characters.

Second, i'm not sure why, but somehow the experience you gain goes towards their damage. So i did a simple 10x XP, not too bad right? Well they start one-shoting me... ALL THE FREAKING TIME! Playing a ranged character did make things easier but if you talk with a quest guy who then attacks you, 1-2 hits and you're dead. Get a spawn of several guys attacking you? You're probably dead. Elite characters you can't hit easily? Probably dead. Dropping damage output may mitigate it until you get to higher levels.

Tried upping it since the leveling pace still felt too slow to 1,000x experience. Leveling regularly and enjoyably, until the instant kills return. Dropping damage to 1/10th or even 1/100th doesn't seem to help much.

The game's grind and level are annoying. I beat this game on the xbox360 several years ago, even then i remember it feeling slow as hell to level up, and due to levels on items there's almost no point in keeping anything since 'hey a new character might make use of this lvl 90 item' they couldn't even pick it up, by the time they could they'd be close enough it wouldn't matter.
Use this line:

MP_experience = {1000,1150,1325,1550,1825},

Increase the first integer only. The other numbers would affect the additional players in multiplayer games. The first number is 1000, or 100% Experience. You could increase it to 10000 (or more) and reach ridiculously fast leveling.
