Can someone explain to me how this stats are calculated or what they mean?

When I start the game, my Level 1 Gladiator has the following stats (naked-nothing equiped):

Strenght: 33
Endurance: 19
Dexterity: 20
Physical Regeneration: 25
Mental Regeneration: 0
Charisma: 11
- - -
Health: 147
- - -
Attack: 26
Defense: 22
- - -
Weapon: 12-21 (physical=12-21; fire=0; magic=0; poison=0)
Weapon Bonus: 56%
Attack Speed: 140
- - -
Resistance: 4 (physical=2; fire=1; magic=0; poison=1)
Armor Bonus: 20%
- - - // - - -
Weapon Lore: 1
Concentration: 1

Now, when I equip a Torch with the following stats the Weapon Bonus drops to 47%:

Estimated Damage: 7-13
Attack: 1
Defense: 1
Fire: 5-9
Fire Damage: +20% Dexterity

But when I equip a Sword with the following stats the Weapon Bonus keeps the 56% value:

Estimated Damage: 34-43
Attack: 2
Physical: 22-28
Weapon Damage: +11% Strenght

Why this happens to the Weapon Bonus?

Another question: How is the Estimated Damage calculated for the sword example I gave?

This should explain the Attack and Defense with some other stats: http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/GameBasics-ItemPropertiesandBonuses.html

And this should explain how the damage calculation works: http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/3783-inner-works-of-resistances/

Thank you for the links. I understand how the Attack and Defense ratings work. My problem is with the Weapon Bonus % and Armor Bonus %.
Sorry, I thought it would be the same, so I had to start sacred to look up what you meant.

I think the Armor Bonus: x% describes how much of your total amount of resistances comes from bonuses, like Percent to All Resistances: +x% or from attributes like Endurance (which gives an armor bonus of about 0,3% per point). There could be even more bonuses that affect this number and some of them just applied in some cases (that could explain the torch example).

To clarify it, it doesnt add something extra to your total absolute resistance number you can see in the same screen. It just describes how much of this was gained by such bonuses and to make this number even more useless it just describes a few of such bonuses. Bonuses like Resistance: +x% Dexterity arent counted to this number.

The same goes for the Weapon Bonus: +x%. The corresponding bonus and attribute here are for example Increases All Damage Types: +x% and Strength (about 0,4% per point). Things like Weapon Damage Fire: +x% Dexterity arent counted, too.

To sum it up, in my opinion both numbers are completely useless, because the absolute Weapon damage or Resistance number is much more reliable, because it shows the effective damage or resistance after everything was summed up.

In case you want to know which effects attributes have, you could look it up here: Attribute Levels

Thank you for clarifying my doubts. Best regards.
