More than 1.8 million copies of Sacred were sold worldwide. Now one of the best hack-and-slash RPGs is available at GOG.com for only $9.99.

The epic world of Ancaria is waiting to be explored in this upgraded edition of Sacred. You are given the choice of one of eight character classes, each with its own quests and skills, but with a common goal: to save Ancaria from the evil necromancer Shaddar. Sacred Gold includes all improvements added in Sacred Plus and the Sacred Underworld expansion, which added two new characters and new quests that follow the events at the end of the original Sacred. What more could a hack-and-slash fan want?
I already own this game, but I may buy it again in order to have it DRM free. I had a lot of problems getting the game to actually run because of it

Being a former programmer, I think folks should we willing to contribute for the games they enjoy paying, and the really nice thing is GOG makes that a really easy decision for us. At one time I used my skills to help provide Crack Codes, but that was a long time ago and I've recanted my old ways in favor of paying for what I like, even sharewhere when I actually find a program that's useful. ;-) If anything it encourages budding programmers.
