So I just started this game and I’m lovin’ it. I just have a question about navigating through the world. Can anyone tell me if it’s like Baldur’s Gate where you have map sections? Meaning...when you get to the edge of the screen and you go past it you have a new section of the map? Or is it more like Dungeon Siege where it’s all one continuous flowing game world?
Forgot to mention I’m talking about Sacred Gold...

Overworld is basically one big map (well, actually two :) ) with passages to smaller locations, like dungeons, caverns, etc., but you can't access all regions right away. There are some chokepoints which you have to unlock by completing certain quests in the main questline (some of them can be circumnavigated with use of jumping (Dark Elf), teleport (Battlemage) or flight (Demonica)). There's still a lot of freedom of choice in where you can go (especially for Demonica).

I am super OCD when it comes to games with a Fog of War. Am I in trouble?

I know what you mean. No stone can be left unturned. :) Well, there is no fog of war while you move/fight. Main map is fully visible from the beginning, although location names, portals, smiths, merchants, etc. fill in when you come into vicinity of them. Detailed map is covered when you start the game and you uncover it for each character you play, but it can be disabled by changing one option in Settings.cfg file (it's a simple text file): EXPLOREMAP from 1 to 0. Only things that show and disappear, as you move, are dots representing enemies and NPCs (with range depending on Far Sight modifier).
