I'm trying to set up Sacred Gold to play on my EEE pc netbook, and it runs just fine, the only problem is the fixed 1024x768 resolution doesn't all fit on the screen at one time.

If there's any way I can get the game resolution DOWN to 1024x600, or even 800x600 with stretching of the image, that would be ideal. Does anyone know how I can do this? I've messed with all of the graphics settings I could find and haven't come up with anything yet.

There are no options to change the resolution within the game or through modifying game files, but you might be able to use your video card's driver control panel to implement some kind of scaling. You will not get the whole screen filled without stretching the image, so you are probably better off using fixed aspect ratio scaling, which will leave black bars to the left and rights sides of the image. If you could provide some system specs, specifically video card make/model, we might be able to provide detailed instructions on how to do this.
I've done a lot of poking around in the settings, and I don't think it's possible, unless maybe updated drivers would provide a downscaling option.

The Eee pc's got the Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family, which according to GOG doesn't even work with the game, so I'm still lucky, I guess. The driver version is 6.14.10.4906. If you've got any ideas, I'd still be grateful.
Yeah, you aren't really going to be able to do anything with that chipset, it is not really designed to do what you would need.
I'm an idiot and am tired, disregard my post.
