So, i know this is listed in the class' combat arts' cons in the sacred wiki :
No skills, equipment, or attributes affect the powers of the Dragon Berserk. Only the level of the CA (and higher character level) will increase his power.
However it is unclear to me if enhanced perception ever worked (not strictly power related) or has been fixed to work in one of the community patches in dragon berserk form( I noticed it said community patch ensured alchemy at least works now). Will be using the enhanced edition mod if it matters.
Planning on making a shapeshifting dragon mage and was considering just dumping a lot of general skills on him like bargaining, blacksmithing, divine protection, alchemy and that's why I'm wondering if enhanced perception works.

Yes, Enhanced Perception "works." If you read about it here, you would know that it is a General Skill which can assist in finding hidden creatures and items such as loot in chests:
