Anyone experience this before? I've tried most of the character classes and they load fine but if I try the "Daemon" on the normal game it will:

1) Play the opening video about the summoned monster that escapes

2) Come back to the loading screen with the elf and bow and stick there.

Good news! I noticed a new driver was available for my AMD laptop with integrated graphics. After installing it, the Daemon could be chosen. So it must have been a bug with the driver and whatever effect was being accessed at the start of the game.
