Just to give everyone an important piece of advice about the accuracy of weapons in this game, distance from your target plays a significant role in accuracy, regardless of weapon. It's much better to use cheaper snap shots at close range than costly aimed shots at a distance. Besides keeping your troops covering each other as they move through the map, and keeping cover between your team and the enemy, leave enough action points for each team member to take a shot during an enemy turn.
