So I made the mistake of starting to play this game on hard. It makes the game suck really hard. Instead of giving me more action, it just makes the fights incredibly tedious. Not hard, just tedious and ultimately boring as shit. The weapon combos are more or less useless because even if your first blow hits a foe right in the face, he'll strike back if you stay in range for the second or third blow. And you'll take plenty of damage. Even if you succeeded in a full combo, most foes have enough hitpoints to survive it...

So instead of being bold and slicing right through them with muscle and big arms, you're stuck backpedaling or circle strafing around the foes and slowly whacking and yawning while staying out of range. Did I mention they have a shitton of health? It takes forever to kill them.

Oh, and I have not been able to get in the berserk mode at all without picking up these bloodlust items. Not once. Which doesn't really matter though because the berserk mode is almost completely useless when the enemies have so many hitpoints and do so much damage... either I keep whacking them from a distance, or I try to rage my way through and with luck I can kill one foe before he causes enough damage to completely drain the berserk bar.

I thought that maybe I just don't know how to play this game, so I decided to find a let's play on youtube and see how others manage. And wow, the game looks like it might actually be fun if you can slice through enemies like they do.. it must be the difficulty?
