I had a problem with Runaway 2, because game froze during a cutscene every time in Chapter 5 right after I built the neutrino detector. But there is a solution to the problem. You'll have to open the task manager, find game's process, select set affinity and untick everything else besides CPU 0. After that the cutscene works just fine.

I just wanted to share this solution in case someone else is suffering from the same issue.

Thanks, solved mine problem too.
For those getting an "Access denied" trying this: Select "Show processes of all users" to get admin rights.

Thanks, this works.

YFTR: You can also skip the cutscene by pressing ESC and the game will work. For some reason, the only critical part seems to be the end of the movie.
