Runaway it's a great point-n-click adventure. It came out in a year that most adventures were following the Myst path and it sure made an impression.
The story resembles those 80's "teenage" films in which a nerd was becoming the hero af the day (and he was taking the girl too...;)) and although if full οf cliches it's an interesting and amusing story.
Puzzles are, most of the time, logical and are based on inventory, dialogues and combaining objects, but you have to be careful because our hero pick up objects ONLY when he needs them, so pay attention to his comments.
The hand made graphics are beautiful and give a certain feeling to the game. I only have an objection for the models of the characters but I'm sure that the guys at Pendulo Studios gave their best considering the funds they have at the time.
The voice acting is excellent and the overall sound at top quality too.
To conclude, I recomment Runaway to everyone who likes adventures game. It doesn't have anything new to offer but hey! it's a game that you will remember with a smile upon your face.
