Gog Galaxy, which I never chose to download (guess it was snuck into another agreement/download) decided to update my copy of Ruiner and delete all of my saves... WTF. I have been struggling to get through this game, I was halfway through the level where the Harpies are introduced. This game is HARD, I don't mind the difficulty but I definitely DO MIND having many hours of progress vaporize on someone else's whim.

I enjoyed Ruiner but I'm not going to sink another 10-20 hours into retracing my steps, so this is a deadend for me. I don't know why anyone would buy this game for the time being when the chance of having all their progress wiped out overnight is so real. Hasta Luego Ruiner, it could have been nice.

Have you checked if the save files are still in the "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Ruiner\Saved\SaveGames\" folder? Have you tried getting you save files back through Galaxys cloud save feature if they are not in the correct folder anymore?
