Got past the issue of .exe not starting.
I open it through the GOG games folder or run as admin and i get no error messages but it still fails to open.
My cursor will symbolize its loading for a few seconds before stopping and nothing happens after that. I am yet to play the game after download, tried re installing etc.

Any one got any idea's?

Here's what I did to get the game to run, which I found out by searching this very forum:

Set the .exe to Run as Administrator
Set compatibility mode to Windows XP SP3
Disable Visual Themes


Oh, and also for good measure, I added RCT.EXE to DEP exception list. You can find out how to do that from this thread: http://www.gog.com/forum/rollercoaster_tycoon_series/the_game_wont_start
