I've read almost all threads and I am unable to fix a load bug. When I click load, it crashes the game to the desktop. I can save without a problem, but cannot load.

This issue occurs on Windows 8.1 64 Bit.

I already installed DirectX9, I already tried compatibility mode.

Does anyone have a way to fix this?

Edit: I tried doing the DEP exclude thing, but it doesn't work.

I've solved it actually! The fix is to install DirectPlay! I recommend a full pc reset for the people who are using Windows 8.1.

Install the DirectPlay component in order to play the game! That's it!

I have Windows 8.1 64bit, Run as Administrator and compatibilty windows xp service pack three. All ok now. It could be because I have just changed my anti-virus Administrators rights needed. It does work on windows 8.1 64 bit, but you must set the compatibility settings to windows xp service pack 3. 640 colour, and most important run as Administrator. You must also set you antivirus and firewall to acept the game as safe. Then it will work took me ages. Fire wall and adminastative rights are the most important.

Hey whenever I save my game the colours in the game change colour to the point where it is completely unplayable. does anyone else have this issue? any suggestions?

I actually had the best results by loading the saved game directly from the folder without even booting the game itself first. And it seems to work regardless of other settings.
