If you had to choose between one of the games, which one would you take? Im interestet in the series, but I might not like it, so im just going to buy one of the games first.

2 is like 1, but with more comfort options and more rides, so i would pick 2... you can even download the RCT1 scenarios converted for part 2 if you do a quick forum search for the links. So you shouldn't miss anything if you buy 2! :)

I don't believe it has EVERY scenario from RCT1. Even so, I seem to remember it was a good selection.

If I were to choose one, it would be RCT2 because there's basically more to the game. RCT1 is amazingly good as well, and if you can pick both up then do so.

Tough choice... as a kid I actually got both games from cereal boxes but I played number 1 the most. Number 2 has some better stuff like the ability to have themes for each ride as well as adjusting the chain speed but overall I just played number 1 the most... so I guess it's up to you.

I actually like RCT1 better because in that one you can charge for both the park admission and the rides at the same time. With RCT2 you can can only do one or the other which makes things much more difficult than it should be.

Spongetrainer seems to have that option, judging by the screenshot, but it does nothing but crash here, maybe it works for you.

Thanks for pointing this out flickas. I was hoping for a mod that would restore the functionality in-game. I knew that was a long shot though.

I'd start with RCT1, just in honor of the chronology. I also like it that you must unlock scenarios in RCT1, so it feels more like a challenge to me.

RCT 1 is worth a look, but all of the scenarios have been ported to RCT2, so if you want to play through those with the added options that RCT 2 brings there's always:
