Hi I´ve just bought RCT1 deluxe version. Everything is working fine, but when I try to save/load and it goes to windows the game just closes and no messages appears.

Im using Windows Vista sp2. PLEASE HELP!!!

Some people were able to solve this as follows:

- Go to the game's folder and find "saved games" folder
- There's a file named 001
- Open this file with RCT.EXE (right-click => Open => Select RTC.EXE to open the file)
- You should be able to save now
- Save a game

If it doesn't work, run the game as administrator.
If a normally started game still doesn't save, open 001 again, save a game and create a shortcut to this save file.
Use this shortcut to start the game.

Don't know if anyone still has issues with this but adding this to the exceptions in DEP worked for me.

Control Panel -> System -> advanced system settings -> Advanced tab, under performance click on settings -> Data execution prevention tab (DEP) -> locate and add the RCT.exe

make sure the second check mark/box thing is checked.

This fixed it for me!

I have the same issues, cept using a windows 7 pc. Can play just fine, except whenever I try to save a game the game just closes down without warning

Running the game as administartor,I tried opening the 001 file with RCT.exe but that didn't help, neither did the DEP thing
(also running game in windows 95/windows ME compatibility, if that matters anything. Any other and the colors get messed up ><)

Knowing a way to fix this would be great, seeing as the original cds I have from years back refuse to install anymore so I bought it here instead ;_;

actually never mind, fixed it by running it in windows xp (service pack 2) comatabilitymode... I feel stupid now ><
