I've installed the games thru the downloader and whenever I try to start them, the screen flashes black and it changes the colour scheme to basic, then it flashes again and goes back to normal without the game actually opening and running. I'm running on Windows 7 and I'm getting really annoyed that I payed $16 for these games and now think they're never going to work.

Have you tried running them in comparability mode?

Make sure that the following are checked in the Compatibility tab:

Run the program in compatibility mod for: Windows XP(Service Pack 3)
Disable visual themes
Disable desktop composition
Disable display scaling on high DPI settings

Another thing you want is to make sure that this isn't installed in the Program Files folder.
